Sultan Battery

Located at Boloor, 6km away from the Mangalore City Bus Stand, the Sultan Battery was built in Black Stones by Tippu Sultan. It was supposed to be a watchtower, but to foreigners, it looks more like a fotress.
Kadri Manjunath Temple

Another history spot of Mangalore, this temple was built in 1068A.D, at the foot of the highest hills in Mangalore. On top of the hill King Kundavarma Bupendra, there are also some stone caves, and a mutt, called the “Jogimutt”.
St. Aloysius College Chapel

The walls of this chapel are covered with the paintings of the artist Antony Moshaini. It was built in 1899-1900, and comparable to the Sistine chapel in Rome. It was an architectural gem, and the special beauty of it is that the wonderful series of paintings that covers almost every part of the wall executed by Bro.
Mangalore have a handful of places that are historical, but not much of modern buildings.
